Description We are looking for an experienced VP Internal Auditor to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is essential in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of our internal controls, compliance processes, and risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate auditing and a proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement within organizational frameworks. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans tailored to organizational needs. • Evaluate internal controls and compliance systems to identify potential risks and areas for improvement. • Analyze audit findings and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen processes. • Collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards. • Prepare detailed audit reports that effectively communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders. • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and assess their impact on organizational performance. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit program by identifying innovative practices. • Support risk management initiatives by assessing vulnerabilities and proposing mitigation strategies. • Ensure audits are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the insurance sector. • Strong knowledge of audit programs, findings, and corporate internal audit practices. • Proven ability to develop and execute audit plans that address organizational risks. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex systems and processes. • Exceptional communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively. • Proficiency in industry-standard auditing tools and methodologies. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certifications such as CPA or CIA are highly desirable.
