Role Profile:
We are looking for a Network Instrumentation Engineer, who will be a part of global, divers team, which provides support and monitoring of the low latency trading plant. You will be working with the latest technologies and will be responsible predominantly for management of Corvil infrastructure.
What you’ll do in the role:
Configuration and maintenance of Corvils and packet broker switches
Data analysis to provide required metrics and assistance with investigation of complex network and application-level issues
Providing innovative solutions for advanced monitoring and metrics' request
What you’ll bring to the role:
7+ years advanced knowledge of the specific technologies to manage and support network instrumentation toolsets: Arista, cPaket, Cisco
A strong ability to analyze packet captures to help identify network and application issues
An excellent knowledge of data networking principles: TCP/IP, routing, switching
A good knowledge of network time synchronization concepts, technologies and vendors: NTP, PTP, PPS, Spectracom, Mainberg, White Rabbit
A good understanding of financial protocols: FIX, native Exchange protocols
Excellent communication skills
Sense of ownership/accountability
Flexible and adaptable to meet the teams needs
Desired Skills:
Having scripting skills would be a plus (Python preferred)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
