**BASIC FUNCTION:** The Vice President of Fleet Maintenance will provide leadership and management to the organization and his/her functional group. Develop and deliver plan to have a first in class Fleet Maintenance, operation.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Plans, directs and maintains Fleet Maintenance initiatives across the organization, and develops policies, procedures and communication to support those initiatives
+ Continuous improvementof safety, reliability and efficiency standards for a fleet of approximately 15,000 vehicles
+ Provides strategic leadership and direction on comprehensive fleet maintenance policies, programs, tools, and systems for approximately 200 locations in North America.
+ Responsible for the strategic planning, allocation and distribution of assets across the business centers based on operational needs of each operating area
+ Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls for Fleet Maintenance
+ Collaborate on the capital investment related to fleet and report metrics and allocation to senior leadership and executives on a regular basis
+ Develops and executes strategic business plans with vendors, develops negotiating strategies, and delivers superior cost savings to the organization
+ Identifies strategies to deliver year-over-year cost improvements in direct and indirect materials, and capital expenditures
+ Ensures effective planning and management of the department budget, approves expenditures within prescribed limits, develops recommendations to address unplanned financial pressures, and advocates for additional human/financial resources to meet increased/unplanned program responsibilities

**Qualifications**
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a business or engineering discipline is required; MBA or comparable advanced degree strongly preferred
+ 15 + years of senior level experience, preferably driving change and improvement of standards, required
+ Green Belt or better as a Lean Six Sigma qualification strongly preferred
+ Proven strategic planning and leadership expertise to manage the development of organization-wide fleet maintenance, procurement and asset strategies required
+ Knowledge and expertise in developing communication plans and strategies to facilitate the rollout of organizational initiatives
+ Knowledge of information technology to lead the development and implementation of systems, technologies, and templates to support the collection and analysis of data to identify emerging trends that impact fleet maintenance operations
+ Vendor management and negotiation experience strongly preferred
+ Proven managerial and leadership experience providing direction, guidance, and coaching to staff required
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within North America
