JOB SUMMARY
The job will have oversight of all critical enterprise network and systems infrastructure for the company. This job will lead strategic use of data network, server/data centers, and telephony systems, architecture, configuration, administration and integration. Reliability and availability of our networks is critical to the success of Highmark and our external (ASP) customer's success. This job is responsible for managing a significant annual IT spend. This is a highly visible role within enGen.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the division; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary has budgetary responsibility and authority.Accountable for the overall direction and strategy for the enGen Infrastructure division. Leads strategic technology planning to achieve business goals, including the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical groups, and business case justifications for technology spending initiatives.Leads the IT infrastructure engineering and cloud operations, digital workplaces services, networking, storage, mainframe, servers, andtelephony/telecom.Establishes and maintains a strong partnership with Information Technology peers and other leaders throughout the business to develop and implement strategies that ensure that the infrastructure team anticipates and meets demands, while providing increased availability, scale and continuous improvement of costs and services.Leads the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies including the development and implementation to support a high availability 24x7 support model, the creation of a private cloud and virtualization.Analyzes and improves upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a competitive edge within the market.Formulates continuity plans to all infrastructure services, including disaster recovery, cyber resiliency and IT operational continuity.Analyze and optimize all IT infrastructure services to ensure market relevance and explore pathways for commercialization, positioning them as potential revenue-generating offerings for external consumptionOther duties as assigned or requested.REQUIRED EDUCATION
