Incredible opportunity for an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to lead our client's financial operations in Columbia, South Carolina. This pivotal role involves overseeing key financial processes, driving growth through sound strategies, and ensuring the seamless execution of financial initiatives. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact, working alongside a team that values innovation and collaboration.
This is an in-office position in Columbia and requires a strategic leader who will be comfortable in a hands-on role where you will lead the development of day-to-day accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement financial strategies to align with organizational goals and drive growth.
• Manage cash flow, capital planning, and liquidity to ensure resources are available for strategic initiatives.
• Build and oversee detailed financial models for projects.
• Lead the budgeting process, monitor performance metrics, and make adjustments to forecasts as needed.
• Secure and structure financing for acquisitions, operations, and development projects.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and other financial partners.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with external firms for tax filings and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assess financial risks proactively and design strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of financial experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and compliance.
• Advanced skills in financial software such as Yardi and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Proven analytical abilities with a demonstrated history of data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial insights to stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset combined with meticulous attention to detail and execution.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality in all financial matters.
