Job Overview
The Vice President of Whole Loan Trading will play a crucial role in managing and expanding our whole loan trading activities. This position requires a strong understanding of the mortgage market, analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to identify and execute profitable trading opportunities. The role requires a track record in whole loan trading, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
A Typical Day
• Source, evaluate, and execute whole loan trades, including purchases, sales, and securitizations.• Analyze market trends, interest rate movements, and credit risk to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities.• Ensure best execution is implemented to rate sheet• Implement and monitor risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk tolerances.• Assess and manage credit, interest rate, and liquidity risk associated with the whole loan trading book.• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio performance under various market conditions.• Continue development of regular reporting and complete special assignments or product development necessary to support business strategy• Complete special assignments or product development necessary to support business strategy• Perform other related duties as required and assigned• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
What You’ll Bring
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; or equivalent work experience● Minimum of 7 years of experience in whole loan mortgage trading or MBS trading experience, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role● Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills combined with sound judgment● Highly proficient in Excel and Word and thorough knowledge of mortgage finance● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
+ Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
+ Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
+ Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
Salary
$95,000 - $155,000
