Job Description

The core function of this role as the VP, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance is to provide Strategic Leadership and Advocacy for Pilot within the complex regulatory landscape of the energy, transportation, and travel center industries.

1.) Strategic Leadership: Serves as a trusted advocate for Pilot and the travel center industry by developing and implementing the company's regulatory strategy in alignment with enterprise objectives and growth initiatives. 

2.) Develops and implements regulatory strategies: Crafts and executes top level strategies that map the enterprise to current and future energy regulations concerning energy, midstream, transportation, infrastructure, environmental compliance, and travel center operations. 

3.) Regulatory Interpretation and Guidance: Interprets complex regulatory requirements across with key stakeholders (internal partners, commercial units, external partners, industry regulatory bodies and organizations) 

4.) Advocacy and Influence: Establish and maintains relationships with regulatory agencies, influencing the development of new policies and regulations that impact the energy and travel center industries. Responsible for building coalitions in support of position on key issues in coordination with regulatory agencies. 

5.) Change Management: Drives change management initiatives within the organization to adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes, implementing new processes and programs to ensure compliance.

6.) Serve as leader of the internal regulatory affairs team, to include but not limited to a head of regulatory affairs, an associate general counsel, and various support staff. 

Qualifications

Advanced degree or legal degree is bonus but not required.

Experience in compliance 10 years along with minimum 5 years min.

Team Leadership experience. 

Experience in engaging with regulators and regulatory bodies.
