VP, Medicaid Regional President, IN

 The VP, Medicaid Regional President (CEO) for Indiana will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, oversight, and administration of programs and services for our Medicaid program. Humana Healthy Horizons in Indiana market includes both Waiver programs, which provide long-term services and support to eligible individuals, and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNP), which serve members who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. They will lead the state Medicaid executive team and report directly to SVP Medicaid Divisional Leader.

The Medicaid President will be based in Indiana and will be the primary point of contact for the state regarding all issues. They will coordinate with other key personnel to fulfill programmatic requirements. They will publicly represent Humana Medicaid Indiana, while enhancing and further developing relationships with stakeholders throughout the state.

The Medicaid President manages the development, operations, and results of the health plan and requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise wide.

               

Location: Must reside or be willing to relocate to Indianapolis, IN

Position Responsibilities:

Manage executive Medicaid leadership team in the Indiana market, through which all plan associates reportDevelop strategies, formulate policies, and oversee operations to ensure the appropriate objectives and goals are metRepresent Humana to the public, to plan members, to associates, to the state, and to subcontractorsDrive a focus on the delivery of high-quality care and supportDevelop clear and measurable plan objectives, goals, and ideasEstablish and maintain a diverse, inclusive, and respectful environmentPromote a culture of health and well-being throughout the organizationEnsure plan compliance with federal and state laws and programmatic requirements, including fraud, waste, and abuse; make decisions in an ethical mannerOversee operational policies and proceduresEnsure long-term health plan financial success, sustainability, and growthDevelop and adhere to budgetsResolve urgent and emergency matters in a fair way according to applicable policies and proceduresWork with Humana National support teams to infuse best practices from other states and drive new ideas and initiatives from across the Medicaid and healthcare industryEffectively support the growth of associates to enhance plan leadership and career development

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related fieldExperience in Medicaid MCO plan operation with demonstrated experience in TANF/CHIP/ABD/LTSS WavierExperience with budgeting and financial management of a health planSix (6) to ten (10) years of experience working in healthcare or government leadership and/or operations managementLeadership background with more than five (5) direct reportsMust reside or be willing to relocate to Indianapolis, IN

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, Healthcare, Public Health, or related fieldExperience in Medicaid MCO plan operations; experience in strategic and thought leadership in supporting Medicaid health plans; experience with budgeting and financial management of a health planDSNP Experience inclusive of Medicare AdvantageProven track record of collaborating with Medicare teams to drive growth and optimize member outcomes for DSNP populations
