VP, International Accounting

What does a successful VP. International Accounting do at Fiserv?

The VP, International Accounting position will report directly to the Chief Accounting officer and will be responsible for leading the accounting function of Fiserv for all three regions – EMEA, LatAm and APAC.

What you will do:

Being a collaborative business partner with regional Finance and business groups on items such as revenue recognition, capitalization matters, acquisition diligence/integration, and accounting guidance/consulting.Maintaining a pristine control environment including ensuring the propriety of accounting in accordance with local and US GAAP, monthly/quarterly closing procedures, reconciliation of general ledger, analysis related to the balance sheet and compliance with Fiserv’s Sarbanes-Oxley program. Responsibility for successful completion of Fiserv’s sixty+ International statutory audits.Managing and developing a team of approximately 120 employees across the worldPartner with other functional groups including Legal, Tax, and Treasury, to drive execution of strategic initiatives.

What you will need to have:

Executive presence and excellent communication skills as the position requires extensive interaction with CFOs and other senior business leaders across Fiserv on accounting policy decisions.Excellent leadership skills including collaboration, ability to influence others and motivation of the team.Aptitude for directing and planning projects/employees and provides accounting consultation, expertise, guidance and leadership. Drives organizational direction setting and goals, which requires a global, enterprise accounting view of policies, strategies and vision.Key contributor/leader in the implementation of SAP in LatAm and EMEA during 2025 and 2026.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.  Minimum 10+ years financial accounting experience.  CPA or chartered accountant certification preferred.
