Our Field Operations team is responsible for building, upgrading, maintaining and connecting customers to our advanced, always on, hybrid coaxial-fiber (HFC) and fiber network.
VP, Field Engineering – Texas-Louisiana Region
(Note: This is position is Coppell based, with frequent travel throughout Texas and Louisiana)
The Vice President Field Engineering is responsible for ensuring the reliability of Charter’s hybrid coaxial/fiber (HFC) and fiber broadband network. The VP directs regional efforts for network upgrades, preventative maintenance, repairs, outage reduction and other efforts to meet Charter’s customer commitments for reliable connectivity.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Experience: Experience working and leading the field construction/engineering and/or network and maintenance functions in the cable/communication business (10+years), management of annual budget preparation and implementation (8 years), senior level management experience (10+years)Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent field experience; SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent field experience • Industry and vendor specific certifications and training Advanced Knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, and IP Networks Knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations, a comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations; Comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state; Comprehensive understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems; Advanced knowledge of Digital Transmission; Advanced knowledge of Electronic theory Advanced knowledge of Federal Communications Commission regulations; Advanced knowledge of Fiber Optic theory; Knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety CodeSPECTRUM CONNECTS YOU TO MORE
