We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Data & Analytics to lead a high-performing, cross-functional team, while partnering closely with business leaders to unlock innovation, deliver actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, and foster a data-first culture.  The VP will oversee the business ownership of a global data platform, champion and grow data-related initiatives throughout the company and ensure data quality and accessibility to empower self-service analytics across the organization. 

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

Define and execute the company-wide data strategy aligned with business goals. Build and lead cross-functional data teams to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with senior technical and business leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement. Ensure scalable, global data solutions that uphold high standards of quality, integrity, and accessibility across the enterprise. Build platforms and analytics to answer business questions, support product innovation, and deepen client understanding. Champion AI and data literacy across the organization. Oversee sub-teams including Business Intelligence, AI Center of Excellence, Quantitative Research, Analytics Engineering, and Client Engagement Software. Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Work with systems owners and Data Pipeline Engineering to obtain new data sources

Lead Cboe's data-driven future and empower decision-making by collaborating with strategic partners and delivering trusted data, intelligence platforms, AI solutions and actionable analytics. Implement the enterprise-wide strategy for generative AI adoption, identifying transformative use cases and embedding AI into core business to drive innovation. Advance Cboe’s data and analytics maturity by deepening insights into product usage and client behavior to fuel growth across core businesses.  Accelerate revenue growth through partnership with business teams both using and monetizing our data by developing differentiated data products with proprietary data. Elevate productivity and decision making by delivering scalable, intelligent data tools and platforms that empower both internal teams and external clients. Shape Cboe’s long term data and analytics vision, by expanding global usage of client engagement data and navigating the evolving AI landscape to deliver market leading insights and innovation.  

Leadership Expectations: 

Inspire and retain top talent through impactful projects and autonomy. Foster a collaborative, innovative, strategic and highly engaged team culture by inspiring teams to think big, challenge norms and translate ambitious ideas into impactful outcomes. Build strong relationships with business leaders, support teams, and vendors (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma). Engage with the Board and executive team on key initiatives like AI and analytics. 

The ideal candidate has:

Master’s degree in technical fields or analytical fields such as Financial Math, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering. 15+ years in analytics/technology in Financial Markets, including 10+ years in leadership. Deep expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake) and analytics tools (e.g. Sigma, SageMaker) Expertise in analyzing Options, Futures and Equities market data Experience adopting and deploying enterprise-wide AI solutions Experience reviewing technical solutions and code (e.g. SQL, Python) Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing data teams. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences. Demonstrate a deep understanding of how data interacts across systems, teams, and business processes to uncover insights, anticipate needs and drive enterprise-wide decision making.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $229,500-$283,500. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:


 

US Geographic Differentials:

110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA 

115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA 

120%: Boston MA, Washington DC 

125%: New York City NY  

130%: San Francisco CA 


 

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
