ING Bank covers Wholesale and Retail Banking in Asia Pacific. Our Wholesale Banking business is present and active in 11 major economies in the Asia Pacific, namely China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
Overall function
Responsible for CSD activities including (but not limited to) execution of transactions, systems implementation and decommission, new product /service roll outs, various risk management requirements, and meeting the BCP and audit requirements.Ensures compliance with the rules and procedures as prescribed by risk and compliance.Motivate and develop other team members as the Head of CSD. Take active part in planning and change management activities, set business priorities and work on resource allocation and development with Head of Operations.Clearly understands the mission and direction of the company and how covered functions contribute to such overall directions. Capable to act as point of contact (POC) when Head of Operation is absent.Key Responsibilities
Perform duties as the head of (SD/Operations. Manage the operation staffs and hold overall responsibility for daily operational executions including payments, account management, loan disbursements and other transactions which require in-branch processing.Advise on department objectives and take part in overall planning including budgeting, resource allocation and audit preparationEnsure proper controls are in place for operational processes, manage operational risks and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirementsEnsure WPls and control documents are updated and properly maintained .Support the Head of Operations on new product/service roll_outs and systems implementation/decommission change projectsSupport the Head of Operations on PFM (Premises & Facility Management), IT, KYC Client Outreach, BCP/CMT, Data Management, Sourcing, Procurement, KCT (Key Control Testing) related tasks and requirements, monitor member's performance and work on associated projectsIdentify staff development needs and recommend trainings as necessary .Support the Head of Operations on BAU efficiency improvement, digitization and standardization projectsPartner effectively with in-branch front office members, Agency/DA teams in SG and Manila hubs; design and implement ideas to improve CX.Work on other tasks and projects assigned by Head of Operations .Skills and Experience required
15+ Years' experience in Operations/ MO/ COO areas High verbal and written fluency in both English and Japanese. Superior understanding of Operations and Middle Office duties in a banking environment. (Including Settlement systems) Control mindset with high attention to details and risk management experience. Can do attitude, comfortable with multitasking between different topics, and solve issues as needed. Team player, able to both manage and mentor others while being an individual player when needed. Team management experience is a plus
