Volunteer Coordinator
Job Title: Volunteer CoordinatorDepartment: Volunteer and Pastoral Care Location: 330 Monroe Ave Rochester, New York Hours Per Week: 20 Hours per weekSchedule: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM with some flexibility SUMMARY: Determines needs for volunteer assistance at Unity Health System/St. Mary’s Campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Collaborates with department managers to determine needs for volunteer assistance and assists with developing programs to meet the needs. + Recruits, interviews, screens and places volunteers. + Works with local schools, churches and community based programs to increase volunteer base. + Serves as a resource to insure appropriate day-to-day supervision and activities of volunteers within the departments. + Coordinates special projects requiring volunteer assistance. + Maintains and processes volunteer personnel records and tracking sheets in a timely manner. + Participates in planning and implementing annual Health System volunteer recognition event as well as planning and implementing on site, on-going volunteer recognition. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Computer experience is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + A.A.S. in human services or related field. + Two years experience in voluntary sector or related field. Non-profit experience preferred. + Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, good communication skills both oral and written, ability to lead and inspire others, ability to be innovative and creative. EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE: $18.00 - $24.80 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14607 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
