For more information, please visit https://www.tamiu.edu/ This is a a one-year, non-tenure track lecturer position for English (first-year writing program). Primary duties will include teaching 15 semester credit hours per semester, the equivalent of five courses in composition such as ENGL 1301, 1302, and 2311. Duties also include providing service to the department, college, university, and students. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The Department of Humanities offers a wide array of undergraduate programs in English, History, and Spanish, along with Master of Arts degrees in English, History and Political Thought, and LLT (Language, Literature, and Translation). Required Qualifications The successful candidate must hold a an earned Master’s degree in English. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face classes on campus. We strongly encourage candidates with prior teaching experience, particularly experience teaching composition courses.
