The department seeks candidates committed to teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts and professional programs. The Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor will contribute to a program that is skill-based and culturally aware. They will teach several of the Communication & Media program’s key courses: primarily Writing for Digital Media and Oral Communication, and potentially Introduction to Media Industries and/or Social Media. The teaching load is four courses per semester, generally with two or three preparations. Candidates with a Ph.D. or who are ABD in Communication or Media Studies at time of appointment are welcome to apply, as are candidates with an M.A. in Communication or Media Studies and relevant professional experience.
