Visiting Assistant Professor
The Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology (MAST) Division of Babson College invites applications for full-time, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor appointment to begin fall semester 2025. The successful candidate will teach five course-sections per academic year on topics that may include data visualization, descriptive and inferential statistics, simulation, optimization, or predictive modeling based on the candidate’s expertise and interests.

Is passionate about teaching data analytics and has a proven track record in both teaching excellence and deploying innovative pedagogical strategies Is eager to engage with a diverse set of learners, including students from all parts of the world students at all academic levels, e.g. undergraduate, MS, MBA Has a demonstrated competency in traditional academic research, scholarship of teaching and learning, or engagement in practice Is a team player, willing to lead and collaborate with faculty from multiple disciplines to design and teach courses in an integrated, cross-disciplinary context. A doctoral degree in a related field is required. The committee will begin reviewing applications on 1 April 2025.
About MAST
The mathematics and analytics group within MAST is comprised of 13 full-time faculty members, 11 on the tenure track and 2 on the teaching track. Our group delivers two undergraduate core offerings, a suite of quantitative undergraduate electives, core content in MBA, MS in Business Analytics, and MS in Entrepreneurial Leadership programs, and graduate electives in the STEM-certified Business Analytics and Machine Learning MBA concentration. MA faculty have a range of scholarly and professional interests, from optimization in healthcare and supply chain management to statistical consulting on large scale clinical trials.
