Join Our Team as a Part-Time Visit Specialist

EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated part time Visit Specialist for their Nassau Supervised Visitation program.

 

Wage: $18 per hour Schedule: 18 Hours/Week - Saturdays are required Location: 175 Fulton Ave - 4th Floor, Hempstead NY Reports to: Program Supervisor

 

Core Purpose of This Role:

The Visit Specialist is responsible for facilitating and supervising scheduled visitations for the Justice for Families Program offered at the Nassau Supervised Visitation office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Be present during, and closely monitor, visitation sessions at all times.

Conduct in-office based supervised visitation sessions.

Report observations of session to Supervisor, and document visits in case files.

Ensure that the Program policies and procedures are followed during each visit according to "Conditions for Participation" form.

Testify in court, if subpoena is served.

Assist with childcare when necessary.

Work evenings and weekends as required.

Monitor cleanliness of the visitation rooms.

Attend scheduled, staff meetings, conferences, and trainings

Review previous progress notes prior to each visit.

Provide 24-48 hours' notice if unable to work scheduled shift.

Perform all other relevant tasks as assigned by Supervision or EAC Network Administration

 

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Must have the ability to contain volatile emergency situations in an office and immediately report to Supervisor.

Bilingual preferred

Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendars, email, and or database software which will be necessary to use.
