Requisition ID: req58659 Job Title: Virtual Caseworker, Virtual Reception & Placement Sector: Social Work Employment Category: Fixed Term Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: USD 20.20 - 26.80 Hourly Location: New York, NY HQ USA Work Arrangement:Fully Remote Job Description The IRC seeks a Virtual Caseworker, VR&P to provide case management, inclusive of virtual R&P services and per capita direct assistance to clients across the U.S. This position’s caseload will predominantly be Afghan walk-in Special Immigrant Visa holders who are within 90 days of arrival to the U.S. The Virtual Caseworker will also be responsible for any other refugee cases resettled virtually in fiscal year 2025. This is a short-term position through 12/31/2025 and only open to current and former IRC employees. Major Responsibilities: • Hold a caseload and ensure all core services are completed in a timely manner, including the provision of per capita direct assistance to each assured individual on their caseload. • Identify and maintain relationships with local government and community-based organizations with the goal of connecting clients with necessary benefits and services. • Ensure that case file documentation is maintained in compliance with contract requirements. • Assist with the preparation for all monitoring visits including IRC, state, and federal agencies. • Carry out timely, professional interventions to ensure responsive, appropriate, and client-centered service delivery. • Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study preferred. • Minimum two years of experience in domestic resettlement case management, preferably with the United States Refugee Admissions Program’s (USRAP) Reception & Placement program. • Experience with virtual case management preferred. • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Proficiency in Dari or Pashto is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, use of case management databases, and email. • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, despite competing priorities. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a global environment and context. • Experience with Evidence to Outcomes (ETO) software system preferred. • Experience with resettlement in California, Virginia, Texas, or Florida preferred. Working Environment: • Fully remote. Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
