Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Video Streaming Engineer to join a fast-paced team developing back-end services for both Video on Demand (VOD) Encoding and Live Stream Encoding. The role involves end-to-end contribution across new feature development, optimisation, enhancements, and system maintenance.

Scope of Work

New feature development - build and integrate back-end components

Performance tuning - optimise encoding and streaming pipelines

Feature enhancements - expand existing functionalities

Bug fixing & troubleshooting - resolve issues in complex video systems

System maintenance - ensure smooth and reliable operation of streaming services

Tech Environment

Core Tech Stack:

Languages/Frameworks: C++, Java, Spring Boot

Streaming Protocols: MPEG-DASH, HLS

Video Processing: Split-and-stitch encoding

Infrastructure/Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, RabbitMQ

Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, Akamai, Oracle (OCI)

Focus on S3-compatible storage interactions (deep expertise not required)

CI/CD: Continuous integration and deployment practices

Must-Have Skills

Strong C++ engineering expertise

Codec & Streaming experience - proven background in media and video processing

Hands-on experience developing back-end services for VOD Encoding & Live Stream Encoding
