Vice President-System Finance Team Operational Support

The Vice President of System Finance Team Operational Support is responsible for the administration, decision making and management for Revenue Cycle Operational Support, MBR/Strategy and the Finance and Audit Committee/Board Management. Operational support areas include MBR/Strategy, Finance and Audit Committee/Board Management, RCS Operations, Business Partnerships, RCS Vendor Management, PMO Support, RCS Integrations/Acquisitions/Divestures, System Finance Team (SFT) Event Coordination, RCS Building/Space Management and SFT Team Member Engagement. Provides leadership and direction to develop, recommend, and implement programs, policies and procedures, and standards within operations. Identifies growth opportunities and drives operational improvement. Monitors workflow of all operational processes to ensure they are performed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. Promotes "systemness" and standardization of processes to ensure preeminent outcomes throughout the system and within Revenue Cyle Services. Serves as a leader and trusted advisor to the Senior Vice President-Chief Financial Officer (SVP-CFO). Facilitates and expedites executive decision-making and execution, while working to proactively identify issues that could impact successful execution of the SVP-CFO’s priorities. Interfaces with both leadership and front-line team members to execute organizational development strategy and drive change initiatives across the finance organization to achieve strategic and operational objectives. Creates executive-level reporting packages to communicate key performance indicators with leadership. Builds relationships with assigned stakeholders and directs assigned projects in areas such as strategy, culture leadership, development, support services, and system financial meetings (i.e., Board Committee, Executive Steering Committee, Town Hall, Retreats, etc.). Manages the day-to-day operations by leading communications for system finance, managing various projects and representing the office of the SVP-CFO by fielding questions and participating in system initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Requires 8 years of people leader experience. Requires knowledge in finance, operations management, strategic planning and communications. Requires extensive experience working in a complex, matrixed organization. Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate sensitive issues with all levels of team members/leadership. Requires demonstrated transformational and complex, matrixed leadership skills (inspiring, problem solving, communicating across multiple levels, executing) to champion Leading to Preeminence. Requires experience designing organizational structures to achieve business and operational results. Must have creativity and flexibility in developing and assessing new ideas and ways to evolve IU Health into the future. Requires proven ability as a visionary to see the big picture but also dive into the details when necessary. Must embody IU Health’s mission, embrace its vision, and lead through respect, humility and intellectual curiosity.
