**Team Overview:**
The Business & Data Architecture team is a new greenfield build within Global Transaction Banking’s Product Factory with four key areas of responsibility: ( **1** ) thought leadership on the architecture of a new future-state, ( **2** ) re-architecting aspects of the existing environment, ( **3** ) defining the roadmap for migrating existing clients to new modern offerings, and ( **4** ) identifying opportunities to deploy leading technology solutions. The new Product Factory will comprise Product Strategy, Product Design and Development, Product Management, and Go-to-market activities for critical products and services TD will develop or enhance in coming years as well as manage existing capabilities currently in market and offered to existing transaction banking customers.
**Position Overview** :
As an early member of the team, the VP, Process Engineer will help build and mature the Business & Data Architecture discipline from the ground up, shaping the way we think about strategic change and how the business is designed to deliver on its goals. The primary goal of the role is to understand, document, rationalize, optimize, and improve how the business' capabilities are delivered. This role will be a key connector between strategy and execution and be responsible for maintaining capability models, value streams, and operating models to ensure transformation initiatives are grounded in a clear understanding of what the business needs to do and how to execute on that vision. The Process Engineer will map, analyze, and optimize business processes across critical domains (e.g., payments, deposits, commercial cards, working capital, etc.), improve processes, reduce duplication, enhance the client experience, and drive transformation / modernization of all business products and client offerings. The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced process engineer who will help drive operational efficiency and achieve strategic goals.
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ **Develop, maintain, and continuously refine Business Architecture artifacts**
+ Own, update, and refine the business capability and value stream models
+ Create a shared "as-is" end-to-end view of how our business operates, organized by capabilities and sub-capabilities; further categorized by maturity, investment, and risk profiles
+ Define develop, and document value streams, overlayed by capabilities, processes, systems, and data flows
+ Identify dependencies and interactions across the full portfolio
+ Define and catalog which capabilities leverage specific technology systems and how that maps to TD's products
+ Document and assess current state customizations
+ **Leverage Business & Data Architecture artifacts to support transformation initiatives and impact assessments**
+ Leverage Lean Six Sigma and Business & Data Architecture frameworks to analyze and improve business workflow issues and identifying opportunities
+ Support impact assessments of proposed changes to business processes, systems, and operations
+ Help identify and manage risks associated with technology implementations and changes
+ Work with business and technology partners to develop strategies to minimize disruption to business operations
+ Conduct performance assessments, investment analysis, targeted application improvement
+ Identify opportunities for automation and new technology implementation
+ Map out processes and workflows to deliver solutions to clients.
+ Catalog, develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain, and enforce the overall Business Architecture principles, models, and stands components used by the business to perform all system-related activities
+ Facilitate cross-functional workshops and playback sessions to drive stakeholder alignment
+ Ensure process documentation is stored, maintained, and version-controlled within standard enterprise tools
**Candidate Requirements:**
+ Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
+ Ability to thrive and create structure within an ambiguous startup-esque environment
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
+ 7-10 years of experience in process improvement, operational design, or business analysis
+ Strong knowledge of process modeling standards
+ Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., ARIS, Signavio)
+ Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
+ Demonstrated ability to map complex, cross-functional business processes
+ Strong analytics mindset; ability to break down ambiguous problems
+ Experience in financial services, preferably payments, commercial baking, or transaction banking
