The Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) Privacy Office, part of the CCB Chief Data Office, collaborates with the Firmwide Chief Data Office and Firmwide Privacy Office to manage data privacy risks for the business. The CCB Privacy organization covers all aspects of privacy support for the business, including regulation management, individual rights requests, governance, incident management, privacy impact assessments, and managing consumer facing and internal systems that support international privacy rights. The team provides oversight, guidance, and implementation support on privacy-related matters across CCB, working with our Legal and Compliance partners to ensure an effective control environment.
As a Vice President - Privacy Strategy & Legislation Lead within CCB Privacy, you will be responsible for privacy-related initiatives across all areas of CCB partnering with firmwide and line of business legal and compliance teams. Your role will require a blend of technical, analytical, and leadership skills to ensure the organization complies with privacy laws and regulations, effectively managing data privacy risks. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complex landscape of our business model, consumer expectations, and global privacy regulations.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate with Business Teams, Firmwide Privacy, and Legal & Compliance to execute the 1st Line of Defense privacy operating model adhering to firmwide requirements and US/global privacy regulations
+ Drive operational compliance with US Privacy Regulations (CCPA, GLBA, COPPA, HIPAA, etc.) and other regions (GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA, etc.) by analyzing jurisdictional impacts, obligations, and developing frameworks to facilitate operational execution
+ Partner with Governance, Privacy Legal, and Government Relations teams to track and analyze emerging legislation across the globe
+ Maintain evergreen documentation and artifacts supporting privacy initiatives
+ Develop and present executive-level materials articulating business positions, key decisions, risks, and impacts associated with privacy decisions
+ Provide hands-on support for coordinating efforts across multiple teams supporting privacy initiatives
+ Develop project artifacts and drive privacy initiatives with key internal and external stakeholders
+ Engage with Product Owners across CCB to drive the translation of legal obligations into functional requirements and delivery into product features
+ Drive the design and implementation of controls related to managing risks associated with privacy requirements
**Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:**
+ 5+ years of experience in building and executing privacy frameworks and programs
+ Expertise with international privacy laws including GDPR
+ Expertise with US privacy laws including GLBA, CCPA and COPPA
+ Exceptional working knowledge of data privacy and protection frameworks and jurisdictional privacy scoping
+ Experience in communicating and presenting to executive management audiences
+ Proven ability to develop relationships with varied stakeholder groups in a complex environment
+ Proven success working with a variety of internal/external teams at various levels of management
+ Experience with complex operational, data and technical concepts
+ Working knowledge of advertising technology and online tracking landscape
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and SharePoint
+ Proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions
**Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:**
+ preferably in a regulated financial institution
