The Vice President of Operations will lead the manufacturing and distribution strategy for FG Air, a $300M business serving OEMs, company-owned branches, and distribution partners across North America. With oversight of 8 manufacturing plants, 7 distribution centers, and 1,500 employees across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, this role is responsible for delivering operational excellence, ensuring execution against revenue and EBITDA targets, driving scalable growth, and creating synergies across the locations.

 

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading complex, multi-site operations, implementing Lean practices, and driving transformation across manufacturing and supply chain environments. This individual must be financially savvy, comfortable presenting to executive leadership, and passionate about building strong teams and high-performance cultures. A thoughtful and decisive leader, the VP of Operations will serve as a strategic partner to the President of FG Air, championing continuous improvement, safety, and business results. This role will require flexibility to travel 50-60% across North America.

Responsibilities Work cross-functionally to develop, identify and define how to improve business performance using technology, optimization of information flow, usage of resources, and business processes enhancementOversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals, and instill accountabilityDevelop, manage, and supervise Plant ManagersImprove internal processes for better productivity by instilling both operational and cultural competency in Lean or 80/20 operating principlesEffectively manage supply chain strategy; thrive in an environment with both supply chain constraints but fast-paced manufacturing demandsWork closely with managers and their teams to promote and build a positive and productive work environment, teamwork, strong work relationships, trust, morale and retentionServe as a member of the leadership team at the sites modeling Filtration Group values and a continuous improvement mindse Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.15+ years of relevant experiences spanning manufacturing and supply chain ideally in a $100M business or larger. Multi-site experience required.Demonstrated success in achieving results in a high volume/high mix manufacturing environment.Prior experience leading and motivating diverse teams.Strong leadership presence with a growth mindset.Ability to operate in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization.Team player who can partner closely with other segment leaders.Good working knowledge of Lean and/or 80/20 methodology.Decisive and agile while keeping culture at the forefront.Experience interacting directly with customers.Strong analytical thinker.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
