Vice President - NCNB - Risk, Regulatory & Resilience

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in the Client Onboarding Reg & Data Services team. He will be responsible for all KYC related risk and controls including governance, oversight, timely execution, quality, and client list management. The VP will be supported by a hybrid resource model of in-country and Delivery Centre teams.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Department Manager position at Vice President level within the Risk, Regulatory & Resilience division.

What you'll do in the role:

Lead and implement strategic technology advancements, including participation in governance forums.

Develop and execute solutions for business-as-usual (BAU) challenges.

Lead the set-up, expansion, and management of the function, including recruiting, training, and onboarding team members as per agreed plan

Managing and monitoring including executing regularly scheduled client reviews to complete KYC

Work closely with stakeholders to ensure onboarding and refresh targets are met including clearing blockers where required to drive productivity and quality

Conduct regular reviews to identify potential compliance gaps or weaknesses, and develop and implement remediation plans as necessary

Develop comprehensive KPIs, KRIs, and SLAs to monitor performance and set up governance cadence i.e., weekly, and monthly to ensure reporting and tracking of items including action plans to closure

Design and publish performance dashboard for management review

Create and track weekly and Monthly RFP, Completion burndown plan while maintaining CPPM and Quality targets as stipulated

Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance services quality

Provide SME guidance and support to business units on KYC-related matters, including customer onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, legal, risk, and operations teams, to ensure a consistent and robust KYC compliance culture throughout the organization


What you'll bring to the role:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners. Act as point of contact and escalation. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the firm on risk governance initiatives/forums.

Engage with business and functional leadership to address improvements, challenges, and future strategies. Participate in Risk Assessment and Risk Controls exercises including representation on appropriate risk forums.

Conduct risk assessments and risk control exercises to guarantee appropriate representation in various forums. Ensure timely issue escalation and resolution with a solution-oriented approach.

Oversee the implementation and enhancement of KYC systems, and processes. Oversight on control reports, provide management updates, and track action plans/Recaps to minimize risks.

Represent NCNB in regulatory and internal audit discussions. Demonstrate strong people management and leadership capabilities. Mentor and coach team members, ensuring quality improvements and transparency in performance metrics.

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to local HR guidelines on effective people and performance management. Ensure staff receive appropriate training & development, assist in developing training plans & provide coaching where necessary Talent management including training, performance, capability, and capacity planning

Lead and manage a team of KYC compliance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution. Serve as a proxy for direct reporting lines in forums, subject to prior agreements.

Develop comprehensive product, client, and SME knowledge. College/Bachelor/master's degree with 12 to 15 years of experience in related field

Excellent oral & written communication skills. English fluency is required Strong planning and time management skills. Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability

Result driven with transformation mindset. Must be able to communicate comfortably with Senior stakeholder group across verticals Must be a team player and foster a team first environment and culture

Must have strong MS Office skills, specifically, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Power BI desirable
