Overall, Role Purpose

As a member of the Regional Senior Management Team and the MEEG and Global HR ExCom, the VP of HR for MENA provides comprehensive strategic human resource leadership to DHL Express MENA to support business objectives and facilitate market growth strategies.

The VP of HR MENA is actively involved in executing the Focus strategy and priority plans by implementing global and local HR strategies and initiatives that align with both short-term and long-term business goals.

Your Tasks:

•Developing and aligning the MENA HR strategy with DHL Group's overall business strategies.
•Implementing effective recruitment policies and procedures to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
•Identifying training needs and creating programs to enhance skills and productivity across the organization.
•Collaborating with executive leadership to foster effective internal communications and employee engagement.
•Overseeing compensation and benefits policies and programs to ensure competitiveness in the market.
•Driving performance management and recognition programs that motivate and reward excellence.
•Promoting quality, safety, and security in all HR activities while adhering to global and local policies.
•Ensure implementation of Employee relations programs and policies to provide a supportive working environment suitable to achieving business goals and objectives.
•Oversee planning and management reporting of relevant HR data
•Liaise with Government Authorities & Ministries and relevant internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile:

• Over 10 years of experience in the general management of large, complex service-related businesses, preferably within the Air Express Industry and/or with multinational corporations.
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with the DHL Express organisation is a significant plus.
• Highly proficient in English and Arabic; proficiency in French is an advantage.
• Knowledge of organisational strategies and operational objectives: commercial awareness of the Express & Logistics industry.
• Ability to continually redefine the role's purpose and scope, maintaining its relevance as the organisation evolves.
• Strong capabilities in process development and implementation.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills, relentless in follow-through, with the ability to effectively utilise the collective knowledge of the group for the benefit of the organisation.
• Professional demeanour with mutual respect towards peers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
• International business experience, including working and living in multicultural and multi-racial environments.
• Proficient in developing and delivering presentations.
• Understanding of management principles, processes, and procedures.
• Strategic thinker and insightful decision-maker.
• Capable of analysing and resolving problems effectively.
