Vice President - Global Supplier Services China Lead

We're seeking someone to join our team as a seasoned professional to support its Sourcing and Third Party Program Management (TPPM) initiatives in China. This role, based in Hong Kong, reporting directly to the Head of GSS China.

In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business. This is a Vice President level position within the within Third Party Risk Management, which specializes in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks presented to a company as a result of working with external parties / vendors.

What you'll do in the role:
- Lead and manage the Firm's China On-Shore Third Party Sourcing and Risk operations.
- Collaborate with Business Units (BUs) to ensure compliance with the Firm's China Guiding Principles on Outsourcing and cross-border data management.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all China Outsourcing activities, encompassing both inter-affiliate and third-party engagements across all BUs.
- Provide strategic leadership and support for Sourcing activities, including documentation, evaluation, bidder reviews, negotiations, and vendor management.
- Enhance the function's credibility by partnering with internal business stakeholders and demonstrating professionalism and commercial/legal acumen.
- Coordinate with in-house Legal to ensure timely execution of contracts for both external and inter-affiliate projects.
- Cultivate a collaborative team environment across all job categories and functions within the Firm.
- Engage with senior internal stakeholders (Technology, Legal and Compliance, Finance, other BUs) and external vendors.
- Provide guidance to BUs on the Third Party Risk Management procedures and tools.
- Lead and implement various GSS initiatives in China.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in third party Risk, China regulatory landscape, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation. Experience in Third Party Transformation and Change the Bank Program is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of China regulations and a general understanding of regulatory and tax requirements within China.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- In-depth industry knowledge and outsourcing experience in China.
- Strong communication skills to lead and influence diverse groups and individuals.
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, with excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, capable of analyzing offers, business cases, and processes and presenting findings clearly.
- Exceptional organization and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
