VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, Office of the President, will serve as the Institute’s lead fundraiser; provide strategic leadership and management for MIT’s comprehensive development efforts that includes development planning and initiatives, foundation relations, gift planning, leadership giving, philanthropic partnerships, prospect development, and fundraising support operations; be responsible for managing a centralized development operation that seeks financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, and coordinates fundraising, marketing, and communication efforts among the schools and college; collaborate closely with the President’s senior team, deans, faculty, Alumni Association, and volunteers to define priorities and shape strategies to build philanthropic support to meet the evolving needs of the MIT community and oversee the management of the office’s staff of approximately 200 people.
