Vice President - Assistant Controller

Eaton is seeking a dynamic and strategic financial leader to serve as Vice President – Assistant Controller. Reporting directly to the SVP, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer, this executive role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of Eaton’s global financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the VP – Assistant Controller will drive operational excellence while supporting the company’s long-term financial strategy and international growth.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Provide strategic leadership for Eaton’s global controllership function, overseeing a team of approximately 500 professionals across India, Hungary, Mexico, China, and corporate functions including treasury, benefits accounting, and M&A accounting.
•    Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
•    Maintain and enhance a robust internal control environment, aligned with SOX and audit standards.
•    Lead the standardization and continuous improvement of accounting policies and practices across the enterprise.
•    Partner with business units and the corporate development team to support acquisition and divestiture activities, including due diligence and technical accounting analysis.
•    Prepare and present financial results to board-level and external stakeholders with clarity and precision.
•    Foster a high-performance culture by coaching and mentoring global teams, promoting accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution. 
•    Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
•    Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience in multinational, publicly traded companies.
•    Minimum 6 years of experience managing people and leading teams.
•    Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master’s degree in accounting or MBA.
•    Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, consolidation of international subsidiaries, and intercompany accounting.
•    Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, audit processes, and internal controls.
•    Experience supporting public company reporting at the business unit or segment level.
•    Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional business and finance teams.
•    Demonstrated success leading large, global teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
•    Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $222750.0 - $326700.0 a year.  This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
