TD Securities Corporate and Investment Banking provides a full range of financial advisory and capital-raising services to corporate and institutional clients globally.
Position Overview:
In this role you will report to the Head of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), providing insight and support on business priorities and client initiatives. The role will involve internal coordination, strategic analysis, communication management and other executive level support. The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen, leadership experience, and strong interpersonal skills to operate effectively across a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities:
More specifically, the role will require you to:
Partner with the Head of Corporate & Investment Banking to define and drive business-wide strategic prioritiesConduct adhoc market research, competitor analysis, and monitor performance metrics and client pipelines to inform decision-making and support strategic projects.Support client interactions for Head of CIB, by preparing briefing notes, closing follow up items, filing call reports.Work with corporate communications team to manage internal and external communications, including strategic presentations, board materials, and leadership and client briefingsIn partnership with the Business Management team, support key business initiatives, transformation projects and cross-functional programsAs an extension of Head of CIB's office, act as a central point of contact for senior management and stakeholders across the firm. Own agendas for leadership forums, townhalls and offsites. Proactively manage action items, ensuring timely completion.Track and drive progress on critical projects/deliverables ensuring executives are kept informed of statusProvide confidential support and act as a trusted advisor on sensitive and high-priority mattersDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, business heads, executive assistants and partners across the business / function and other corporate functionsBe an active member of the Special Assistant/Chief of Staff community across TDS, with the goal of making connections and identifying opportunities for partnershipLeverage appropriate talent and resources/working committee members/subject matter experts from across the bankUse sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions for complex problemsJob Requirements:
5+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate strategy or a similar high-performance environmentStrong understanding of financial marketsHigh integrity, discretion, and a collaborative mindsetProven track record of managing strategic projects and working closely with senior leadershipAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skillsComfortable with ambiguity and able to operate in both high-level strategic and detailed operational contextsRelationship oriented with the ability to influence without authorityThe VP Investment Banking TDS provides professional level of expertise as part of a client team and liaises with clients at various levels and helps execute on transactions.
