TD Securities is seeking a Derivatives Execution & Clearing technologist to join our dynamic team in the Global Markets division. As a key player within our organization, the candidate will be a vital resource in the delivery of technology & software solutions used to improve our cleared derivative trading and operational capabilities employed around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance derivative execution & clearing operations aligning with client, business and regulatory needsWork across business and technology to design the optimal infrastructure from a technology solutions approachAnalyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources to inform decision-making and strategic investmentsDevelop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to automate processes and support data analysisProvide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and data qualityParticipate in the continuous improvement of data management systems and toolsA degree in Computer Science or a related field5-10 years of professional experience in the financial services industry specifically as a technology architectStrong financial experience with integrated execution and clearing platforms & infrastructure; experience with Futures & Options, Clearing of OTC DerivativesProficiency in Database like SQL server, oracle and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or similar)Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plusProgramming experience in Java or other advanced languagesExperience with ION applications such as XTP is a plusAssess impact of regulatory changes to technology frameworkStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentExperience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes

The VP Technology Solutions TDB understands business products, business strategies and customer usage of products with ability to translate content into a IT architecture that describes key functional and non-functional requirements. Responsibilities include familiarity with business strategy I processes and expertise in designing business solutions that link disparate processes and application systems, ability to communicate a deep understanding of the business and a broad knowledge of technology and applications, design the target application I services architecture and assess the impact of the future business architecture on existing and future applications, identify the techniques and technologies that should be applied at the application level, defining the information architecture in compliance with corporate policies and standards, and working with business partners and technology teams to define the organization, storage and flow of data to support effective information delivery.

Education & Experience:

College degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience5-7 Years of related experienceMust be detail oriented and possess problem-solving skillsMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision and establish prioritiesProficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written), and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
