About the Role
Datadog’s Technical Solutions (TS) organization is a global, high-impact team of approximately ~1,200 professionals responsible for delivering deep technical engagement at every stage of the customer lifecycle. This includes a broad spectrum of functions from Sales Engineering (SE) during pre-sales discovery, to Technical Account Management (TAM) and Implementation Services (IS) during onboarding and post-sales success, to Technical Support Engineering (TSE) and Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) driving scale, retention, and product feedback loops. These teams operate at the intersection of customer need, product innovation, and technical execution; making the TS org one of Datadog’s most operationally complex and strategically important organizations.
As Vice President of Technical Solutions Operations (TSO), you will lead the internal infrastructure that powers this global organization. Your mission is to create the systems, processes, and data backbone that allows TS to scale with speed, clarity, and excellence. This role is not customer-facing, but it is deeply customer-impacting. You will lead and integrate three foundational pillars of the TS operations engine:
Systems Management & Business Process Engineering (BPE): Responsible for designing and maintaining the tools, workflows, and cross-functional processes that underpin the TS organization’s day-to-day execution.
Program Management Office (PMO): Drives strategic planning, organizational alignment, operational cadence, and program delivery across the global TS org.
Data & Analytics (DA): Owns the analytics infrastructure and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into performance, productivity, and outcomes across every function in TS.
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and operational multiplier to the five other VPs who lead each TS function, ensuring their teams are equipped with the infrastructure, insights, and governance needed to operate at scale. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, Strategy, People, Legal, and Finance to align systems, share data, and operationalize initiatives that span the company.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and Scale Operational Infrastructure – Own vision, strategy, and execution for the BPE, PMO, and DA teams. Ensure their output is aligned with TS org goals and delivers measurable value at scale.
Design and Evolve Internal Systems – Architect, implement, and iterate on technical systems and process frameworks that power TS operations. Prioritize automation, scalability, and intelligent (AI-augmented) workflows.
Run Operational Cadence and Planning – Drive business operations for the TS org, including strategic planning, operational reviews, initiative tracking, and rhythm-of-business execution.
Centralize and Operationalize Data – Deliver a unified data and analytics framework that enables real-time, reliable decision-making across the TS organization. Establish data standards, KPIs, and insights delivery mechanisms.
Be a Force Multiplier Across Functions – Partner deeply with cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Strategy, Legal, and more—to improve processes, align goals, and increase organizational efficiency.
Build a World-Class Internal Ops Team – Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing operations org. Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented culture focused on impact, agility, and accountability.
Who You Are:
