POSITION SUMMARY

AWP Safety is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Talent Acquisition to lead enterprise-wide recruitment strategies, processes, and teams during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This role is critical to achieving AWP’s strategic goals through a focus on field workforce expansion, operational excellence, and digital enablement. The VP, Talent Acquisition will develop and execute a best-in-class hiring engine for both hourly and salaried roles, with a focus on attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent in a competitive labor market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

Build and lead a scalable Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with AWP’s growth, M&A, and digital transformation (e.g., D365 implementation).Partner with divisional and national business leaders to forecast workforce demand and align recruiting strategies.Establish a talent acquisition operating model that supports decentralized operations while ensuring national consistency and quality.

Operational Excellence

Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing TA team, including divisional recruiters, sourcing specialists, and TA operations.Oversee high-volume hiring for field crews across five U.S. divisions, ensuring timely onboarding and improved 60-day retention.Design and deploy data-driven TA dashboards, KPIs, and SLAs for visibility and continuous improvement.

Candidate Experience and Employer Branding

Strengthen AWP’s employment brand in the utilities and infrastructure sector, targeting key talent pools (field, skilled trades, leadership).Own the candidate lifecycle from application to onboarding, ensuring a compelling and seamless experience.Leverage technology and automation (e.g., ATS, CRM, D365 integrations) to improve speed and quality of hires.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Drive inclusive hiring practices and develop strategies to attract diverse talent into both corporate and field roles.Partner with HR and Operations to support internal mobility, career pathways, and equitable access to opportunity.

Qualifications10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition leadership roles, ideally in field-based, private equity-owned, or high-growth service businesses.Proven track record scaling TA functions in multi-site, high-volume environments (utilities, telecom, construction, logistics, etc.).Deep knowledge of recruiting systems, marketing platforms, and TA analytics.Experience leading through transformation, including enterprise technology rollouts (e.g., Microsoft D365).Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and partner cross-functionally.Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or HR certifications a plus.

Salary:  $225,000 - $240,000  based on experience
