Position: Vice President, Solution Design & Business Implementation

Job Description:

The Vice President, Solution Design & Business Implementation is a strategic leader responsible for developing innovative logistics solutions that optimize international supply chain operations. This role requires deep expertise in transportation strategy, network design, cost optimization, and global freight management. The VP will oversee a team focused on designing and implementing scalable and efficient logistics solutions that enhance service performance while driving financial and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Lead the development of international transportation and logistics solutions, ensuring cost-effective and efficient global supply chain operations Design and implement strategic transportation networks, including multi-modal freight optimization (air, ocean, rail, trucking) Develop innovative solutions for supply chain challenges, leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, predictive analytics, and automation Collaborate with global suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless movement of goods while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations Oversee negotiations and contracts with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and global transportation providers to drive cost savings and service improvements Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on sustainability, carbon footprint reduction, and regulatory compliance in global transportation Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and supply chain solution designers Work closely with finance, procurement, operations, and sales teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred) 12+ years of progressive experience in logistics, international transportation, and solution design Proven track record in global transportation network optimization, contract negotiations, and freight management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in supply chain modeling tools Experience with digital transformation in logistics, including AI-driven optimization and automation Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Knowledge of international trade regulations, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies
