This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement across accounting processes, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and supporting the broader finance organization with high-quality, timely, and scalable accounting solutions. **This role requires a strong leader who can combine operational excellence, automation, and strong governance to ensure compliance and accuracy while enabling business growth for PFG.** Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the VP will manage a large, geographically dispersed team and leverage technology, automation, and best practices to optimize performance while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. **Key Responsibilities:** **Strategic Leadership:** Develop and execute the vision and strategy for the accounting shared services organization aligned with the company’s overall financial goals and corporate objectives. **Operational Excellence:** Oversee large-scale daily operations of the shared services diverse teams including order to cash, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory accounting, intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, and financial reporting support as well as support of the Foodservice, Vistar, Manufacturing and Convenience segments. **Process Optimization:** Drive continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and automation of accounting processes using Lean, Six Sigma, ERP systems, and emerging technologies like RPA and AI. **Compliance & Controls:** Ensure adherence to SOX controls, GAAP and other regulatory and internal compliance standards. Partner with internal audit, external auditors, and regulatory bodies. **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically diverse team of accounting professionals.
