Vice President, Product Management TechnicalOverviewMastercard seeks to define a world beyond cash. To accelerate this mission, we are committed to building and scaling products as well as applications that transform payments of any type through consistent customer experiences.
The Customer Connectivity Connect Program is the single front door for customers to manage and grow their business with Mastercard.
As Vice President of Product Management-Technical for Connect you will work with a global team to set the vision for this program alongside engineering counterparts; execute upon a clear roadmap driving incremental value through each release; and, provide the necessary stakeholder management and customer engagement both internally and externally to ensure Mastercard is building platforms that scale to the needs of our business and customers.
You have a curiosity to keep abreast on the latest technologies and have a proven track record of being a thought leader and influential advocate for building and scaling global platform products.
Job Description
•\tLead a global organization defining the structures and operating mechanisms that optimize the skills and execution methodology of your team
•\tOwn the long-term view (3-5 years) and complete platform portfolio and make trade-off decisions within it
•\tWork with other product teams to ensure strategies are aligned
•\tDrive a data driven and continuous learning culture across your organization
•\tEnsure team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles and tenets
•\tDevelop a culture of test and learn experimentation and innovation to solve core business and end customer needs in the platform product domain
•\tDefine and build your own scorecard to continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators and use this data to drive incremental improvements
•\tRigorously inspect the products and execution metrics of your PM-Ts using your own tech depth and business acumen to assess risks and continuously raising the delivery bar
•\tActively encourage the development of your managers and your technical staff while continuously raising the bar on performance, technical depth, product management results, and people management as you hire new PM-Ts
•\tEngage directly with customers to help shape product roadmap

•\tDemonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
•\tProven track record of data driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams
•\tDemonstrated experience as a leader of leaders with the ability to develop talent (both managers and individual contributors)
•\tAble to hold your own in debates with technical architects, engineers, and designers
•\tComprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies
•\tCan communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
•\tDemonstrated experience building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of the individual engineers across the organization
•\tFormalize best practices into frameworks and evangelizes with other Mastercard teams
•\tHelp leadership craft responses for escalations of customer/business facing product issues
•\tHas thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly

•\tStrong interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent
