Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, Private Banking, Quebec Region & Eastern Canada, the Vice-President, Private Banking, Brossard, is a senior enterprise leader who supports Private Banking through delivering expertise and coaching to enable optimal sales performance (business retention, profitable growth, and referrals) and a differentiated client experience. You will lead the Brossard & South east Quebec team of high-performing Private Bankers and will focus on winning in the region by delivering on our strategic business priorities by developing Private Bankers through successful practice management activities and coaching routines and by demonstrating belief in RBC’s ability to win.

What will you do?

Focus on the alignment of talent to local market opportunities. Involved with building, and sustaining relationships with high net worth clients, ensuring that their teams have a targeted focus on business owners and professionals with investable assets of at least $1 million, and/or a net worth of at least $3 million. 

Focus on winning in their region by driving a highly effective Private Banking sales force to deliver on the strategic business priorities of: enhancing employee engagement, delivering the Black Card Experience, acquiring new households and growing client relationships through discovery and advice; resulting in enhanced client loyalty and maximized revenue for RBC.

Anticipate and capitalize on emerging trends by aligning resources to capture market opportunity and ensuring that the entire market team is positioned for growth and winning against the competition.

Act as the primary point of contact and relationship leader within the market for High Net Worth client requirements and leads regional team in delivering Private Banking solutions aligned to P&CB’s business lines of Personal Lending, Personal Payments/Accounts, Cards, Investments, Business/Commercial Markets, Insurance along with strong partnering across the enterprise for other Wealth Management needs.

Champion digital enablement by becoming an advocate of the RBC mobile application and wallet and promoting regular usage by teaching and guiding clients on how to use it. Stay at the forefront of all new features and digital application capabilities on RBC mobile application and wallet in order to educate clients on ease of use and ensure clients leave activated, able to transact and aware of availability for additional support

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

Minimum 5 years senior sales leadership experience; 2 or more years within a strategy role preferably and/or commercial banking experience.

Successful Completion of Financial Planning Designation (PFP/CFP/IQPF) and Branch Compliance Officer ( BCO )

Demonstrated strong personal commitment to the client, the employee and to corporate culture and objectives.

Strategic and critical mindset and discipline. Also demonstrated ability to synthesize complex opportunities, interpret and present information clearly and accurately in writing and verbally.

Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs. 

Nice to Have

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in the Financial / Investment Industry

University Degree in a related field

Ability to prioritize and meet conflicting demands, consultative, highly adaptable, flexible and effective.
