Job DescriptionReporting jointly to the Head of Products for Latin America and the Caribbean and Andean Region Group Country Manager, this individual will be a member of the Andean Region and Regional Product leadership team, and lead the Andean Products team. The position will have significant interaction with all the market-based functions (including Sales, Marketing, Value Added Servies, Client Services and Government Engagement) as well as Visa Miami-based executives, across Consumer Products, Digital Solutions and Platforms, and Acceptance Products.
The primary responsibilities of the Head of Products for Andean Region include:
Develop, deliver and activate product strategies with focus on Consumer and non-card Products.Establish and enhance a pipeline of product enhancements, developments and solutioning, payments infrastructure plays and acceleration plansDevelop go to market plans, launch new product initiatives on time, within budget and across multiple clientsEngage in technical solutioning activities with clients, in conjunction with market sales teamsEngage with regulators as needed to advance Visa’s point-of-view on regulatory issues in partnership with Government Engagement in a SMBE role, as applicableManage and meet financial performance indicators in Andean including revenue targets and operating expense budgetsManage and meet business metrics performance in Andean including active cards, payment volume, transaction volume, new product sales/penetration and implementations, and transaction performance indicatorsLead a team of innovative and engaged individuals focused on delivering best in class products to address local customer preferences, payment ecosystem needs and client priorities. Provide hands on coaching to team members to help them become stronger product managers and influence a sustainable shift in behaviors and mindsetsFrame issues, develop recommendations, and advocate for decisions in a fact-based manner in presentations to executive leadership teams

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
• Proven high-performing leader with deep expertise in digital payments, financial services, and emerging technologies.
• 15–20+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or technology sectors, with a strong track record of developing and launching innovative digital financial products and services across the Andean Region (e.g., Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela).
• Demonstrated success in managing product portfolios including debit and credit cards, real-time payments, digital wallets, embedded finance, and non-card-based solutions such as account-to-account (A2A) payments and open banking initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Visa’s product ecosystem and the broader trends and themes in payments and commerce, including AI-driven personalization and its usage for greater efficiency and automation.
• Experience with AI and machine learning applications in product development, customer experience, and operational efficiency is highly desirable.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market trends and customer needs into actionable product roadmaps aligned with Visa’s regional and global priorities.
• Natural collaborator with excellent communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence across complex matrixed organizations.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with a disciplined approach to prioritization, execution, and delivering measurable business impact.
• Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and financial fluency to drive product profitability and growth.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain diverse, high-performing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or technology. MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Familiarity with the regulatory and competitive landscape in the Andean Region.
• Experience working with strategic partners, fintechs, and ecosystem enablers.
