The Vice President of Global Quality Management plays a pivotal role in building and leading a world-class global quality organization that protects product integrity, supports business performance, and enhances consumer trust across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. This executive is responsible for shaping the end-to-end global quality strategy and operational execution across the three foundational pillars of the Global Quality function: Supplier Quality Operations, Brand & Consumer Quality and Material & Color Quality.
This role partners closely with global supply chain, sourcing, brand, and distribution teams to align quality expectations from source to shelf. The function governs compliance, ensures adherence to global standards and regulations, and drives continuous improvement and consistency across regions, brands, and categories.
As the quality thought leader for the enterprise, the role defines the global quality framework, oversees regional implementation, and establishes performance measurement systems to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks, elevate vendor performance, and enhance consumer satisfaction. The role also governs quality assurance across the global distribution network, reinforcing the connection between product, consumer, and operational excellence.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Lead quality communication strategy with Brand, Supply Chain & Vendor partners across all VF brands to drive a unified, data-based narrative around product quality and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure VF’s Global Quality Management System effectively governs apparel, footwear, and equipment—delivering brand-right, consumer-relevant quality into the marketplace across diverse product categories, price points, and regional requirements.
Execute a tiered risk-based quality control approach for the global quality organization. Balance operational cost, vendor performance, and consumer impact while partnering with global sourcing, technical design, and manufacturing teams to implement quality standards and policies.
Build and deploy enterprise-wide quality analytics and KPIs to enable proactive decision-making, monitor product performance, and optimize quality processes across the end-to-end value chain—from materials and design through to final product delivery.
Serve as a visible enterprise quality leader across VF’s portfolio—operating cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders in a complex, global environment. This role plays a critical part in aligning product quality, brand integrity, and consumer satisfaction through operational excellence.
Supplier Quality Operations
Lead the global strategy for supplier quality, ensuring vendors meet defined product, process, and compliance standards through structured certification, onboarding, and continuous monitoring programs.
Manage global vendor certification programs across Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to build upstream quality capability and minimize downstream defects.
Partner with sourcing and technical teams to resolve systemic issues, enforce corrective actions, and implement preventive measures across the vendor base.
Standardize quality expectations and metrics across regions to drive accountability and visibility into supplier performance.
Brand & Consumer QualityAct as the voice of the consumer by integrating feedback, returns data, and complaints into upstream quality improvements.
Ensure quality alignment with brand expectations across categories, incorporating consumer insights to improve design, performance, and product consistency.
Lead issue resolution processes that address escalated quality concerns, managing cross-functional response and consumer impact mitigation.
Define and monitor KPIs tied to product satisfaction, brand protection, and consumer loyalty.
Material & Color QualityOversee global strategies for material and color quality to ensure compliance with brand specifications and performance standards through structured processes and structured certification.
Direct lab testing, evaluation, and approval of materials and color submissions from suppliers to ensure consistency, durability, and aesthetic alignment.
Drive process efficiency and technical excellence in the validation of new materials, including sustainable alternatives and innovation pipelines.
Partner with brand development and materials science teams to proactively address quality risks tied to material composition or treatment.
Global Quality Governance & Operations
Establish a centralized governance model that ensures consistency in quality standards, documentation, and practices across regions.
Lead the integration of quality practices into global DC operations, covering inbound inspection, outbound control, and return handling.
Ensure all products comply with applicable global regulations and internal quality benchmarks.
Build a robust issue escalation framework that drives timely decision-making and resolution at the right level.

Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team working skills with proven ability to coach and build high performing teams. Strong influencing & leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects and programs. Proven experience of managing multi-brand teams in multi locations and well versed in
remotely managing regional teams.

Hiring Range:
$285,120.00 USD - $356,400.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
