**Job Description:**
+ This role is a Hong Kong-based position in the Asia Fixed Income Legal team. The team comprises seven lawyers, who provide legal and regulatory support to the Asia Sales and Trading desks across Fixed Income, Credit, Currencies and Commodities ( **FICC** ) for a wide range of financial products, services and strategic initiatives/projects engaged in by the Bank.

+ Professionals within the Legal team provide a wide range of services to our business units, including helping to structure complex cross-border transactions, and advising on new product initiatives.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide legal advice with respect to debt issuance in the form of asset repackagings and credit-linked products, issued either under an SPV program or by a Bank of America subsidiary issuer and for OTC transactions.
+ Regulatory advice for such products, particularly as it relates to the interpretation and implementation of US and EU regulations in Asia.
+ Support the various Sales and Structuring desks on complex loan-linked derivatives, deal-contingent hedges, back leverage transactions, total return swaps and other financing transactions.
+ Provide legal advice to the Asia Sales and Trading desks on a diverse range of initiatives, including access to trading venues, the automation and rollout of FX Treasury Solutions products in Asia, and onboarding clients to BofA digital platforms such as Instinct FX and CashPro FX.
+ Acting as a point of contact for netting and collateral analysis, and on cross-border regulatory issues.
+ Advising on trading disputes and client complaints.
+ Coordinate with outside counsel and the business with respect to negotiating and closing transactions.
**Required Skills:**
+ Qualified lawyer with 5-10 plus years of experience at a major law firm and/or in the legal department of a financial institution required.
+ Strong knowledge of structured products/securitized derivatives and OTC fixed income derivatives.
+ Knowledge of OTC derivatives regulatory frameworks.
+ Familiarity with OTC derivatives clearing houses.
+ Strong legal and analytical skills with sound judgment and a control mind-set.
+ A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to collaborate well with other legal teams, businesses, and functions, both in Asia and other regions (EMEA and Americas).
**Desired Skills:**
+ Familiarity with loan documentation (Asia Pacific Loan Market Association standard), particularly for distressed trades.
+ Familiarity with sustainable finance transactions.
