Vice President, Engineering Cloud Partnerships

The Engineering Partnerships team plays a crucial role in connecting Engineering with other parts of the firm, helping leadership and business units leverage the firm's technological expertise, build strategic partnerships with technology vendors, and scale solutions across business units. As a member of this team, you will be at the forefront of technology innovation, working alongside industry leaders and making significant contributions to the firm's success. 

ABOUT THE JOB 

The Engineering Partnerships team at Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President to drive strategic cloud partnerships, acting as a vital bridge between our engineering teams, the broader firm, and the external technology ecosystem.  

You will be responsible for cultivating and managing a portfolio of cloud-focused partnerships, ensuring alignment with Goldman Sachs' strategic objectives and driving tangible business value. This involves: 

Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at leading cloud technology companies; act as a trusted advisor, understanding partner capabilities and aligning them with Goldman Sachs' needs. 

Cloud Partnership Program Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive partnership roadmaps for cloud initiatives, defining key milestones, deliverables, and success metrics. Manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial engagement to ongoing performance monitoring and optimization. Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely completion of cloud-related initiatives. 

Cloud Solution Adoption: Champion the value of cloud partnerships across the firm. Drive the successful integration and adoption of cloud solutions within Goldman Sachs. Understand internal client needs, and proactively identify opportunities for cloud-driven solutions.  

Value Creation & Transparency: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of cloud partnerships on business outcomes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure transparency and accountability throughout the partnership lifecycle. 

Internal Alignment: Collaborate closely with procurement, subject matter experts, and engineers across divisions to identify common pain points, prioritize opportunities, and ensure alignment on cloud strategy. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization. 

This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of cloud technologies, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of driving successful programs. QUALIFICATIONS 

10+ years of experience in technology or financial services partnership management, business development, or a related field.5+ years of experience working directly with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in a sales, business development, relationship management, or technical capacity. Demonstrated experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience in developing and managing vendor partnerships, including negotiations, defining KPIs, tracking progress against milestones, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and report on partnership performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders to support priority initiatives and drive adoption across an organization. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to generate commercial proposals, exercise good judgment in handling sensitive information, and manage competing priorities. Highly proactive individual who demonstrates initiative and ownership, capable of working with little direction on complex, sensitive assignments, and a fast learner with the ability to navigate the organization and quickly get up to speed on key topics. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.  ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS   At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow. Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
