This Opportunity:
The Vice President, Energy will serve as a senior organizational leader, responsible for defining and driving Palladium’s energy sector strategy across global markets with a particular focus on the Americas business. This role will build, lead and advise high-performing teams and oversee the design and implementation of impactful energy projects in emerging economies. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead complex, cross-sectoral engagements.
Location and Compensation:
The position is based in Palladium’s Arlington, VA office.
For our prospective employees in the United States, please note that the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to range from $160,000 to $225,000, and successful candidates may also be eligible for additional, variable incentive compensation dependent on the role. For part-time employees, the salary will be prorated based on the actual number of hours worked.

This position will report to the Global Chief Operating OfficerThis position will oversee the practice as a whole and directly supervise staff as the practice growsPrimary Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction
Develop and execute a strategic vision and plan for building out the energy practice, aligned with global energy sector trends and emerging opportunitiesIdentify and respond to evolving client needs, ensuring Palladium remains at the forefront of global innovation in energy solutionsSupport the GISI Consulting Group Energy Task Force, which harnesses the broader energy sector capabilities of the GISI family of companiesPartnership Development and Stakeholder Engagement
Cultivate and maintain relationships with government agencies, multilateral organizations, development finance institutions, and private sector actorsEstablish partnerships and develop strategic alliances with energy companies, utilities, technology providers, and others to leverage co-investment opportunitiesBusiness Development
Lead Palladium’s energy business development efforts, including proposal writing, client engagement, and sustainable revenue growthPrepare business development proposals, concept notes, presentations and reports to existing and potential clientsTeam Leadership and Development
Provide critical input for planning the existing and future technical and staff resources to ensure sustainability of operationsDrive talent acquisition, professional development, and retention of top-tier energy professionalsLead and provide strategic direction to technical and operational teams working on energy programsEssential Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, policy, or other related fields. An advanced degree is preferredAt least 10 years of progressively senior experience designing, managing, and scaling energy sector projectsAt least 5 years leading business proposal capture and writing, with proven success in winning large, complex contracts in the energy sectorProven experience in formulating and delivering growth strategies, leveraging partnerships and teamsKnowledge of energy sector trends and opportunities in emerging economiesExperience working with a diverse set of clients (e.g., public, private, international organizations)Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse culturesStrong written and oral communication skills in EnglishDesirable Criteria:
Fluency in at least one relevant language other than English (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic) is a plusAll qualified applicants will
