Title and Summary
Vice President, Consumer Products and ProcessingWe are seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President of Product Experience Design and Innovation to lead the design, experience strategy, and innovation agenda across our Consumer Products & Processing portfolio to help define the next generation of consumer products – and through doing so, help shape the future of Mastercard and its growth. As part of the Global Consumer Product Team, this leader will be working closely with the Head of Products (Debit, Credit, Prepaid, Sustainability, Processing), and drive cross-functional alignment to ensure that user needs, market opportunities, and technology trends are seamlessly integrated into every stage of product development—from ideation through launch and scale.Key Responsibilities
•\tStrategic Leadership:
o\tDefine and drive a unified experience vision and innovation roadmap for Consumer Products in partnership with Product, Technology and Marketing.
o\tChampion a user-centered, design-thinking mindset across the organization.
o\tIdentify emerging trends and disruptive technologies to inspire breakthrough solutions and future-ready experiences.
•\tCollaboration & Execution:
o\tEmbed design and experience thinking into the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
o\tPartner with Marketing and Engineering to create seamless, scalable, and innovative experiences that deliver business impact and user delight.
o\tTranslate complex user and business needs into compelling product experiences.
o\tTrack and report KPI metrics supporting new products and business models
o\tDetermine if new features should be built or obtained via external partnerships / acquisitions.
o\tObtain executive sponsorship for new products and business models in the business and with cross-functional stakeholders across franchise, legal, product and technology.
•\tInnovation & Concept Development:
o\tLead ideation, prototyping, and validation of new concepts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and user value.
o\tLead co-creation / innovation workshop with key customers
•\tCustomer and Market Insights:
o\tLeverage qualitative and quantitative research, behavioral data, and market trends to inform experience and innovation strategies.
o\tChampion voice-of-customer practices to shape product direction and drive continuous improvement.
•\tTeam Leadership & Development:
o\tBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of UX/UI designers, researchers, service designers, and innovation strategists.
o\tFoster a culture of creativity, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Qualifications
•\tProven track record of building and scaling design organizations and delivering high-impact product experiences.
•\tDeep expertise in design thinking, user research, product development, and innovation methodologies.
•\tUnderstanding of region specific technological and payments trends, regulations, filters out fads, and inform strategic innovation
•\tStrong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
•\tDemonstrated success in partnering with Product and Engineering leaders in agile environments.
•\tExcellent storytelling and communication skills, able to translate vision and insights into action.
•\tProven track-record in running \"Design Thinking\" workshops – collaborating cross-functionally with industry verticals, regional leads and end-users to ensure optimal digital data products

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
