JOB DESCRIPTION

The Vice President (VP) of Distribution Business and Legal Affairs will serve as a key member of the team overseeing the business and legal aspects of the company's distribution operations. The Vice President of Distribution Business and Legal Affairs will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and managing contracts pertaining to the distribution of the company’s content, including the Fox cable and broadcast networks and streaming services.

Negotiate and draft agreements for distribution of FOX content, including linear cable networks, FOX broadcast network and FAST channels, content licensing to streaming platforms, and distribution of FOX apps on tech platformsProvide legal and strategic advice to distribution team business executivesManage compliance with distribution agreementsStay abreast of regulatory changes affecting content distributionAssist with legal issues arising in connection with station groups that distribute the FOX broadcast network

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

8+ years of legal experience in media distribution, with a focus on content licensing and distributionJD from an accredited law school and active bar membershipProven success in drafting and negotiating a wide range of distribution agreementsSubstantial knowledge of digital and traditional content distribution pipelinesExtensive knowledge of the entertainment industry, with a particular focus on distribution channels and trendsDemonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape related to affiliate distribution, including FCC regulationsDemonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities independentlyExpertise in contract law, with a superb track record in negotiating complex agreementsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skillsFamiliarity with digital distribution methods and evolving distribution technologies

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $247,000.00-330,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
