Job DescriptionJob Purpose:
The NBC10, Telemundo 62, and NBC Sports Philadelphia triopoly seeks a Vice President of Brand and Strategic Marketing to lead a promotional staff and manage the planning, production, and scheduling of multi-platform promotions with a strategic emphasis on local news coverage.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, direction, motivation, and development for the promotional team including producers, editors, and graphic artists.Create station promotional campaigns with strong emphasis on local news, weather and sports. Campaigns will include a heavy focus on weather and news for NBC 10 and Telemundo 62, along with the regional sports network for Philadelphia that carries MLB, NHL, and NBA games. We are also the preseason partner for the NFL. Ability to use our multiple owned platforms to cross promote our products is key.Build action plans based on station research to achieve strategic goals and grow our customer base.Working closely with the Content Analytics teams, analyze data to track the performance of key content and marketing campaigns.Produce and schedule multi-platform and on-air promotion campaign spots, with a sense of urgency for breaking news coverage, but also including brand, image, public service announcements, syndicated, local and network program episodic promos.Partner with Sales Marketing to manage all production/marketing needs for the sales department and clients.Sustain and further develop collaborative relationships with department heads and members of our News, Sales, Digital, Operations, and related departments.Qualify and manage all external brand partners for media buying, including radio, outdoor and digital/social creative.Develop effective processes for production, budgeting and financial controls for all projects, building a strong foundation for today’s needs, but able to expand for controlled growth.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.Minimum 10 years of experience in a local television station environment.Experience in a leadership role within a creative marketing/production function required.Proven ability to run digital, television, and social media campaigns.Able to work a flexible schedule and shifts for an in-office positionEligibility Requirements:
