The APAC Asset Services department is responsible for Corporate Actions events relating to Equity products. The position will manage the Corporate Actions processes and control where you will have the exposure to deal with Traders, Stock Loan counterparties, exchanges and registrars day to day for managing various tasks such as Corporate Actions notification, election and entitlement management, handling Client queries, escalation and breaks solution.
You will be exposed to both internal and external auditors and global teams to support wide range of risk, control and oversight function within the department
This role requires candidate who has strong leadership skill with aptitude for problem solving, attention to detail, a risk and control awareness, taking lead in decision making and building good working relationship with various internal and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
To manages overall Corporate Action Custody processes in an accurate, timely and consistent manner, in accordance with departmental procedures and to the agreed service level
+ Ensure highly robust control over all daily tasks
+ Managing internal and external stakeholders on Corporate Action issues
+ Adherence to documented procedures, control guidelines and compliance framework
+ Accountable for reconciliation breaks in accounts on a daily basis and ensure timely clearance
+ Ensuring that all queries are attended to and investigated promptly
+ Supporting change by assisting in devising and implementing improved processes
+ To support control framework (Audits, System Access Controls, Procedure Controls, Record Retention, Client Asset Control, New Employee on boarding, supporting Operational Risk & Control initiatives, Business Continuity Plan, Global Reconciliation Governance approvals)
+ Develop internal quality control routines for Asset Services
+ Management Reporting
+ Raising issues of risk where necessary
**Requirements:**
+ Tertiary education with a good academic track record
+ 5 years or more of experience in Corporate Actions or similar scope
+ Managerial experience in managing a team
+ Strong knowledge of Corporate/Investment Banking within the Prime Brokerage/Custody space is preferred
+ Ability to prioritise heavy workloads and work efficiently in dynamic environment to meet deadlines
+ An independent and proactive worker with strong communication skills
+ Driven and self-motivated individual
+ Ability to work well under pressure and flexible to adjust to changing priorities.
+ Exposure to Data analysis, Audit, Risk and control function
+ A flexible approach to work
+ Strategic Thinker
+ Good organizational skills
