Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician Supervisor for our busy and growing 24 hour emergency department. We are a fast paced, AAHA-accredited, 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital located in Norwalk, CT. 

We are passionate about the training, growth and development of all our associates. With multiple specialty departments available you will have the opportunity to learn from the best!  Our newly renovated hospital supports services including ER/ICU, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology and Cardiology.

We offer our supervisors monthly training on leadership, human resources, empathy, burnout and compassion fatigue.  We also work as a collaborative unit providing you the connectivity of 10 additional specialty hospital supervisor teams to grow, learn, and share information with.  Working together to create effective, fulfilled teams, happy healthy hospitals, and overall career satisfaction.

Veterinary Technician Supervisor Responsibilities:

Full Technician Skill UtilizationWorking collaboratively with team members of all hospital servicesCoaching associates based on need to aid in their successSome regional travel requiredFacilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards and performanceProvide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plansSupport associates in their career via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and schedulingMaintain skill efficiency and knowledge

Potential Schedule: 4 X 10 hr shifts

Compensation: $32 - $38 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.
