The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, clinical knowledge, and a passion for providing outstanding patient care.RequirementsCurrent and valid California RVT license OR 5+ years of veterinary nursing experienceProficiency in animal handling, restraint, and nursing careSolid knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and proceduresExperience with diagnostic equipment, including radiology and lab equipmentExcellent communication and client education skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basisPrior experience in urgent care or emergency veterinary settings is highly desirableMust maintain or obtain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire (waived for RVTs)ResponsibilitiesPerform triage and administer immediate care to incoming patientsCollect and record patient history, vital signs, and presenting symptomsAssist veterinarians during medical procedures and treatmentsAdminister medications, vaccines, and treatments as directedConduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and cytologyMonitor patients under sedation or recovering from proceduresEducate clients on home care and medication administrationMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsPerform accurate mathematical calculations for medications, CRIs, invoices, and estimatesCommunicate with professionalism, empathy, and discretion in all interactionsCompensationRVT: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
SVA: $25.00 – $36.00 per hour
