**Veterinary Receptionist, Tech Assistant** **Location: Nepean, Ontario** **Bells Corners Animal Hospital** , located in Nepean, ON., is welcoming a **Veterinary Receptionist, Technician Assistant** to join our team. This is an exceptional **full-time** opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated! + Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients + Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients + Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings + Technical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint, client care, and surgical assisting + General hospital maintenance including cleaning kennels + Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team + Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages **Requirements:** + Compassionate approach to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents + Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team + Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations + Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively + Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments + Initiative in carrying out assignments independently + Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset! + **Flexible schedules,** including evenings, weekends and holidays. + A love for all small companions animals!! **What VCA Canada Offers** Join our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
