This part-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. + Take initiative and work independently + Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment + Comfortable with animal handling and husbandry + Ability to answer a multi-line phone system and track and book appointments effectively + Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings + Scheduling appointments, admitting and discharging pet patients + Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments + Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset + A love for all companion animals!! **What VCA Canada Offers** Join our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
