Veterinary Practice Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and enthusiastic practice administrator to join our Sunderland team.

The Practice Administrator will be the central link between the clinical and non-clinical needs of the practice’s operation but also with the wider Veterinary Vision team.

 

As a Practice Administrator, your role will encompass various crucial aspects, including health and safety, financial management (including debt and insurance), line management of the reception team and coordination of complaints. Working closely with our clinical team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our exacting standards of client and patient care.

Areas of Responsibility:

Implementing and adhering to H&S policiesCo-ordinate maintenance and repairs within the practiceDealing with client concerns and complaintsSupporting the team with the day to day running of the practiceRegulatory Compliance Health and Safety, Data Control, Pharmacy, Waste and RCVSSuccessfully cascading information and decisions from senior leadership to the teamDecision making and escalation awarenessRegular communication with hospital director and other members of senior managementWork with the clinical leads to ensure processes and protocols are in place, visible, understood and adhered to.
 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Excellent customer service and communication skillsHighly motivated with a willingness to learn new skillsAbility to remain calm under pressureReliable and honestOrganised and the ability to multitask and to work to deadlinesTactful and diplomaticExcellent organisational skillsExperience of managing teams and line managementAble to carry out instructions quickly and accurately

This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week.
